IntroductionTeshirogi Soccer Club (TSC) is a non-profit, club sports organization established in 1981 to promote youth soccer in Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Our club aims to provide all players of abilities and ages the opportunity to play soccer at every level of youth soccer. Players as young as five years of age can join the club and play soccer all the way through to U12 (the 6th-grade students). Current players mostly come from Koki Gakuen (Teshirogi Minami, Matsushiro, Katsuragi elementary schools) and the neighboring schools (Kasuga, Yagihashi, and other elementary schools). Our coaches are undergraduate/graduate students of the University of Tsukuba Football Club and the University of Tsukuba Women's Soccer Club. All coaches are active players in their clubs so their coaching maximizes the children's potential by developing both an appreciation of the game and their own individual skills to the best of their ability. TSC is recognized as a constituent member of the Tsukuba City Soccer Association and an affiliated member of the Ibaraki Prefecture Soccer Association. TSC teams (U7–U12 categories) currently compete in regional leagues and tournaments, most of those organized by Tsukuba City and Ibaraki Prefecture soccer associations. PracticePractice is regularly held on Saturday at the Teshirogi Minami Elementary School ground in fine weather and at the gymnasium of Matsushiro or Teshirogi Minami Elementary School in rainy weather.
